The Effect of a Voice-Centered Psycho-Educational Program on Maternal Self-Efficacy: A Feasibility Study

This study examined the effect of a brief psycho-educational program, Time Together, on maternal self-efficacy, mother-infant bonding, and mood/anxiety for community-based mothers. program centered voice, timing interplay, recognition infant cues. A convergent parallel mixed-methods design included quantitative measures: Karitane Parenting Confidence Scale, Mother-Infant Bonding Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale State & Trait Anxiety Inventory, sequential qualitative analysis to elaborate findings. Significant changes were found. Qualitative participant interviews reflective diaries from two weeks following confirmed that participation enhanced mothers’ ability understand their infant, soothe when distressed, play establish an effective bedtime routine. feasibility indicated this is promising approach improve early interaction self-efficacy.
